Donations are always spent on the following:
- Monthly hosting fee for server in Christchurch
- Site maintenance by myself/my IT business [which is the main sponsor]
- Travel to gather content, usually with a camera
- Research and monitoring of relevant web sites for ideas and topical issues related to ecology
- Paying for high quality content, if not garnered by myself or a volunteer
